The meeting is set.
You’ve been waiting all week…
You really need this commission…. This one must close.
You have rent due. The electric bills are late and there are creditors knocking on your door. Are you ready?

If you walk into this sales meeting and these thoughts are running through your head. Guess what?  You will lose this call and won’t close the business. 90% of every sales calls are won or lost before you sit down to the conversation.

The stories salespeople play out in their heads become reality. They become self-fulfilling prophecies only to prove that what they tell themselves is truth.

What thoughts run through your head before you walk into a sales call, pick up a phone to make a cold call, or sit down to discuss a proposal?

How we speak to ourselves conveys an image in our minds and comes out in actions, body language, and our words.

You must change the recording in your head to a story of victory. A story of confidence and story of genuine realism when you sit down to have the conversation. You must see yourself without desperation and without nervousness. You have to see yourself as the guy or gal that is supposed to be in that room and is the answer to their needs.

I won’t guarantee a 100% close rate - no one can do that. I can tell you if you change the story to greatness before you go in you will close a hell of a lot more business.

What other tactics do you use to get your head right before a call?  Tell us below in the comment section.
